Union Major General John F. Reynolds & Brigadier General Seth Williams Endorsements Signed. Placed on a back panel of a larger document, approximately 3.8″ x 8.1″ in size. All in General Reynolds hand, he writes his endorsement, “Hdqrs 1st Army Corps / Oct. 11th 1862 / Respectfully fwd. appd. / John F. Reynolds / Brig. Genl. Vols. Comdg”. Below Reynolds endorsement, Brigadier General Seth Williams signs, “By Command of Maj. Gen. McClellan / S. Williams / A.A. General”.

This item is a must for a Gettysburg collector. General Reynolds was offered command of the Army of the Potomac by President Lincoln prior to General Meade being selected.
