Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Pardon Signed Document

1 grant2 grant

Here is a beautiful partly-printed DS as president, one page, 7.75 x 9.75, November 19, 1874. President Grant authorizes and directs “the Secretary of State to affix the Seal of the United States to a Warrant for the pardon of J. M. Cooper.” Nicely signed at the conclusion by President Grant with a bold and crisp signature. In very fine condition, with expected document wear. All comes professional custom matted and framed using only the best archival materials and high quality mahogany wood. Encased under UV protected glass, etc. Framed with the document is a stunning glossy 8×10 digital colored photo of the General. The image comes from an oil painting by Constant Mayer in 1866. This is a beautiful piece and a wonderful wall hanger. Overall size is 15 X 21.
