Here is a superb Autograph Letter Signed (ALS), 1p. 5” x 8.5”. Addressed to a Mrs. Wilson, Sheridan pens to his friend in part: “I can come for the game this evening. If it is convenient to you.” Beautifully written in a nice bold hand. The letter is mounted on sturdy card stock and gives a glimpse into what the general did in his leisure time. There is some toning on the letter with a few smudges in the handwriting. The recto has typical folds with some soiling on them. Overall very fine, overall size is 16 X 13. Framed with a high quality reproduction photo of the General in uniform. All comes professionally custom matted and framed using only the best archival materials and high quality mahogany wood. Encased under UV protected glass, etc. Beautiful piece and a wonderful wall hanger.

Sheridan, Phillip (1831-1888). General of the United States Army. The poem below was inspired by Sheridan to a “Mrs. Wilson.” General Sheridan is famous for his successful military career in the Civil War and his role in helping conquer the West.
