Here is a beautifully framed Partly-printed DS, one page, 8.5 x 13, October 23, 1863. Document headed “Contract with a Private Physician,” made “between Surgeon W. S. King, of the United States Army, and Dr. M. T. Carey, of the City of Cincinnati…the said Dr. M. T. Carey promises and agrees to perform the duties of a Medical Officer, agreeably to Army Regulations, at Camp Dennison Ohio…and to furnish and keep in good order, and accessible at all times, complete sets of amputating, trephining, and pocket instruments.”
