Civil War Confederate General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson & General A.P. Hill War Date Signed Document.

This is a truly amazing document! Here is a chance to own a historic document for thousands of dollars below auction prices. The best part, you don’t have to pay a 20 percent plus buyer premium that major auction houses charge!  It has been certified by PSA/DNA and includes their COA! In my years on collecting, I’ve never viewed a document signed by both Jackson and Hill. Seeing that neither survived the war and both were prominent figures for the Confederacy, this is a unique opportunity to add a piece of History to your collection. It also includes endorsements by future General R.H. Chilton and General James H. Lane! The letter was written by Colonel William M. Barbour, who was mortally wounded at Petersburg on September 30, 1864. He succumbed to his wounds on October 3, 1864. The following is a transcript of the letter and endorsements:

November 3, 1862

“It has been certified to me that Martin V. Moore, of the 1st N. Carolina Cavalry commanded by Col. Baker, Hampton’s Brigade, Stuart’s Division, has been duly elected 2nd Lt. in Co. You will greatly oblige by forwarding this certificate of election through official channels, that he may obtain the necessary authority to report for duty to my command. I do not know where to direct any communication & take this method of informing him of this election.” Signed Will M. Barbour, Col 37th Regt NC
